What Is Air Testing?

An Air Test or “IAQ” (Indoor Air Quality) is performed by taken samples from the air and seeing which mold is present and their spore count levels. An air test is typically conducted when there is a “musty/earthy” smell and no visible mold to be seen. Or if there is a concern about other possible particles that could be in the home (ie. Dust, asbestos, etc) that may be harmful to you and your family. These samples are taken by a certified environmental company and sent to a laboratory to be examined. There are minimum of two samples taken, one being a control sample (typically taken outside) as well a sample from the affected area of the home. If you have several areas in the home that are a concern, then several samples may be taken.
